The Columbus craft beer scene is booming. More than half of Central Ohio’s breweries have opened within the last five years! Just seven miles south of downtown Columbus, Grove City is no stranger to craft beer. Here are a few ways to experience craft beer in Grove City:

This local microbrewery opened in 2016 in a space adjacent to the existing Plum Run Winery. They have a revolving selection of home-brewed and Columbus craft beers as well as a full kitchen, live music, and events. Both Grove City Brewing Company and Plum Run Winery have patios, which are sure to be lovely during warm weather days!

The Grove City Lions Club host an annual Spring Craft Beer Festival featuring over 150 varieties of craft beer from all over the world, a silent auction, and delicious food.

With 21 rotating taps, there is always a new brew to try at Hop Yard 62. They feature mostly Columbus and Ohio craft beers and often host tap takeovers. For those not into beer, they also have wine and mead. They have light snacks on site, but guests can bring in outside food as well. Try out one of the local restaurants in the Grove City Town Center. Hop Yard 62 also hosts a different food truck every Friday night, which makes for a fun, laid back evening.

Located at Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs, this microbrewery offers a casual atmosphere, in-house craft beers on tap, a solid menu of classics, and live performances by local artists. Plus, if gaming is your thing, you can also try your luck at slot machines or check out live harness racing at the connected racino.

Held in October, this festival celebrates Grove City’s German heritage. You can try a variety of local craft beers, German food, live entertainment, and fun challenges, like a beer stein holding contest. You don’t want to miss this event!
