Ohio Open Doors – Grove City Landmarks

September 15, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Four Grove City locations will be among more than 200 historic landmarks celebrated across the state during the Ohio History Connection Ohio Open Doors. From 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, visitors can tour the Grant-Sawyer Home, 4126 Haughn Road; Century Village, 3989 Orders Road; the Grove City Museum, 3378 Park St.; and Little Theatre Off Broadway, 3981 Broadway; during the annual Arts in the Alley Music & Arts Festival.

These historic places reflect Grove City’s and Ohio’s rich heritage. The City of Grove City and Southwest Franklin County Historical Society have continued to care for these buildings, preserving the history and unique nature of each location.

Stop by to tour the buildings and share your family story at one or all of the locations.

The Ohio History Connection created Ohio Open Doors in 2016 to promote and inspire pride in Ohio’s heritage and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act.

Many of the landmarks featured in Ohio Open Doors events are on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Grant-Sawyer Home. A number of communities across the state are hosting events during Ohio Open Doors Week, Friday, Sept. 7 through Sunday, Sept. 16.
