National Public Lands Day

September 24, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Scioto Grove National Public Lands Day

Central Ohio is within driving distance of about half the country’s population, which means it’s a great getaway spot. Whether it’s a weekend or a short trip, there’s plenty to see and do in 48 hours in Grove City. Here are some of our recommendations:

Day One

Lunch at Orchardfields & Arbor

Day Two

The National Environmental Education Foundation, National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands including parks, trails and green spaces.

Join REI, Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks and Keep Grove City Beautiful as they celebrate NPLD at Scioto Grove Metro Park.

Team up to clean up the REI River Trail. All volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, bring a reusable water bottle and work gloves if you have them. As a volunteer, you will receive a free REI Stewards T-shirt while supplies last.

Register at the REI, National Public Lands Day web page.
