Valentine’s Day is a good time of year for romantically-inclined couples, but what if you just want to have fun with your gal pals? Luckily, there’s a celebration for you–Galentine’s Day! This pre-Valentine’s Day holiday was made famous by Parks & Recreation’s main lady boss, Leslie Knope, who enjoyed an annual brunch of “ladies celebrating ladies.” In the words of Leslie, “it’s only the best day of the year.”
In the spirit of celebrating our collective feminine awesomeness, here are 7 great ways to celebrate Galentine’s Day in Grove City:
1. Ladies brunch
The Sunday before or after Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to schedule brunch with the gals! Head to Cimi’s Bistro for a full brunch spread complete with mimosas, of course!
2. Practice self-love
Take some time to zen out and take care of yourself. Grab your friends and have a relaxing yoga sesh at Rise Yoga in the Grove City Town Center.
3. Make something together
Is there anything better than sharing a creative outlet with friends? Paint a canvas, paint a piece of pottery, or take a DIY class at Old World New Home.
4. Go on a shopping spree
Get a little shopping in and support female-owned or co-owned businesses in the Grove City Town Center. Some places to check out are The Honey House, Country Hearth Primitives, The Farm Table, Deja Vu Boutique, Never Grow Up Boutique, The Unforgotten Piece, Old World New Home, and Read It Again Books.
5. Indulge in a sweet treat
Treat yourself and your friends to something sweet at Capital City Cakes, where you can get ice cream, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, and more. Or get tickets for Hop Yard 62‘s craft beer + cheesecake pairing for a uniquely sweet experience.
6. Dinner & a movie
This classic date night idea works great for a ladies night out, too. Grab a bite to eat and then head to the Grove City AMC to catch the latest blockbuster.
7. Wine, wine, and more wine
Have a glass or two (or three) of some delicious local wine at Plum Run Winery while you chat the night away.
