Family Creekin' Event Photo

Freshwater mussels are not only fascinating but they are also an essential component to our environment, holding great value for humans and nature alike. They are important environmental indicators, helping us understand the true health of our planet. Despite their crucial position in the ecosystem, however, they are some of the most imperiled animals on Earth. Join mussel experts and enthusiasts at a workshop focusing on these amazing and greatly diverse creatures in Ohio! This informational workshop will include field experience in Darby Creek! Please note: Must register through ODNR. Registration is only $20 and includes lunch. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required: wildohio.gov

For questions, contact workshop facilitator: Karen Norris, Ohio Division of Wildlife, 614-902-4197 or karen.norris@dnr.state.oh.us
