This thriller revolves around Cornelia Van Gorder, a maiden lady of sixty, who rents a summer home where mysterious things happen. The home belongs to a banker who has mysteriously died and a large sum of money is missing from the dead man’s bank. The suspects are many – the bank cashier who has not shown up for work since the money disappeared; a detective engaged by Miss Van Gorder to clear up the mystery; a doctor friend and confederate of the dead banker; and The Bat, a notorious thief who has long eluded the police. Come see if you can figure out what happened to the missing money and the Bat’s identity.
