BiYak Campout

September 1, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - September 2, 2018 @ 10:00 am

$20 - $25

Let’s Bike/Kayak again, this time with a twist! We will be going on an evening kayaking/canoe trip and camp at the picnic area a few miles down the river. It is a about a 10 mile bike ride each way. Please be at Heritage Cycles ready to roll out by 4:30pm. The kayaking trip will be 1-2 hours long. We will be riding to the camp site first to lock up our bikes and set up any gear you have. So please bring a lock! A bus from Trapper John’s will be picking us up from the campsite at 6pm to take us to the Livery to get our boats set up. Please bring a valid ID to rent the boat. (Per Trapper John’s)

The cost will be $20 for the kayak/canoe trip and an additional $5 if you are camping. If you don’t want to camp, you will just have to ride back to the shop on your own. If anyone would like to lead a group home after the trip, let us know! It will be dark so please bring front and back lights.

If you would like to bring any coolers or small grills, you may take them to Trapper John’s and they will bring it down to the campsite when they come to collect the boats at the end of the ride!

We will be at a primitive campsite. The campsite is located at the intersection of Harrisburg-Georgesville Road and Gay Road. There will be fire pits and a bathroom. Alcohol WILL be permitted. No glass or styrofoam please!
