Hello! Sarah, the intern here, blogging again this summer for the GCVCB. So…I have a confession to make: I have a massive sweet tooth. In my opinion, candy is one of the major food groups. Here are my top five favorite spots to satisfy a sweet tooth in Grove City:
2434 Stringtown Road | 614.875.1343
Anthony-Thomas is a Columbus-based company that specializes in crafting fine gourmet chocolates and candy. For those curious about their candy-making process, Anthony-Thomas offers factory tours at their Columbus factory (1777 Arlingate Lane) every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-3pm. They also have numerous retail shoppes throughout Columbus, including a Grove City location. You can’t go wrong with any of their products, but the Melt-A-Way Mints are a personal favorite.
4009 Broadway | 614.277.9338
Aside from creating incredible cakes for any occasion, Capital City Cakes also offers a variety of treats to indulge your sweet tooth, including cupcakes, cookies, and brownies. They also carry over 20 flavors of delicious Ohio-made Velvet ice cream.
4086 Broadway | 513.409.3226
Grove City-based Eban’s Bakehouse specializes in creating delectable, gluten-free baked goods. Their products can be found at markets and restaurants all over. The delectable Mississippi Mud Cake is a favorite at our office and was recently featured in the article “Sweet Endings” in the May 2014 issue of Columbus Monthly.
3150 Urbancrest Industrial Drive | 614.539.7233
Tropical Nut & Fruit Company has something for everyone. Their retail store in Grove City is stocked with snack mixes, nuts and seeds, dried fruit, and a multitude of bulk and packaged candies. I highly recommend the chocolate-covered cranberries or the yogurt-covered pretzels for a sweet treat.
4226 Buckeye Parkway | 614.871.2940
Fans of fro-yo should definitely go to OH-YO! They have an ever-revolving lineup of frozen yogurt flavors and an incredible selection of toppings, so guests can create countless combinations that will curb all cravings.
